In order to succeed in the fields of health care or social welfare, each student must have an opportunity to grow in a meaningful way. For that reason, there is an advisor system at NSU. Students can come to a faculty member for advice and counseling on matters important to their studies and their lives as university students.

Also, there are many school events, such as the orientation camp held after matriculation, which present opportunities for students to get to know teachers and one another.
