Our independent library is located on the first and second floors of Building 3. Once past the entrance, there are lockers on the right, and a roomy lobby up ahead.

On the first floor are the library office, the periodical browsing room, the open-shelf reading room, the automated movable stacks, the service desk, and computers for searching the library database.

On the second floor are the 120-seat reading room with a view of the surrounding landscape, an audiovisual center, meeting rooms, and a magazine browsing corner.

Our library is open to the public, and helps fulfill the continuing educational needs of the people of Niigata city. There are about one hundred thirty thousand books in our library, and the people of the city highly regard our selection of books specialized for the needs of our academic departments.
