Our university is surrounded by a quiet park filled with pine trees, and there are several brand-new facilities on our campus. There are classrooms and two computer laboratories in Building 1 and Building 2. In Building 3, we have our expanded library complete with a modern library database system, and a roomy student cafeteria. In Building 4 there is a student hall with a nice view of the greenery, classrooms complete with computerized audiovisual systems, and several specialized training laboratories with the latest equipment. In Building 5, there is an auditorium, a student lounge, the university cooperative store, and more laboratories.
Our university is adjacent to the Sea of Japan and is located in the Niigata West Coast Park area, a hilly area rich with greenery. Here we can enjoy a magnificent view of the sunset, and the sound of the waves can be heard on campus. Located nearby are many cultural resources such as the Marinpia Aquarium, the Yaichi Aizu Memorial Museum, many monuments including one to Ango Sakaguchi, a wild bird refuge, and the Niigata City Museum. The university is located in the central area of Niigata city, and the energy from the surrounding city activity is evident on campus.
